Alright, family what’s happening today, so glad to see you here. Hope you’re doing well. I mean that the most sincere way possible, please always feel free to reach out to us at support not only even just to because we have a problem, but even just say hi to show us what you’ve done. I mean, I just love hearing from everybody in our community so, but today what we’re going to be doing is an accountability chart. And this is a really important step because business is a team sport, it is not something that you do individually. A lot of people say that they’re in business, you know, and they do everything. But if you look at the word entrepreneur in the dictionary, or here I looked it up on the internet. It says entrepreneur, a person who organizes and operates a business or businesses, what it doesn’t say is the person who answered the phone mop support, cleans the toilet, you know, makes the sale delivers the product doesn’t say that the person who organizes it all and in the beginning, you might have to do all the tasks and that’s okay because you want that intimate knowledge on how your business operates. But at the end of the day, that’s not what’s going to give you success. So, today we’re going to be going over an accountability chart, which is the next step in our progression. So if you take a look, we started off with our kind of our product market grid worksheet. This is kind of our marketing safety net. This is where we did some research. And so here this was an example I did for my cousin who was interested in starting a car washing business in Toronto. So with some basic keyword research, so just putting things into here or just going Car Wash, now I’m in the Philippines right now but Toronto, and as w was said, you know, so and just by going through or car detailing service, near me prices cost and just doing that research part back in the first week, we came up with different areas of the town different places people were looking for. For car washing and the different things that they were looking for car seat cleaning, steam cleaning, interior exterior, cleaning mobile, which We believe to be meaning that they wanted us to come to them. And then a monthly service was something we came up with a way to provide stability. When we did the Google Trends analysis, we saw that car washing was a seasonal business in Canada, and it dropped off at the end of the year. Now even though the you’ll necessarily be washing the outside of the car all the time in the wintertime, or as often the wintertime when you’re walking around in the mud and that you know, in the salt in your boots, you do want to clean the inside of your car. So monthly service might be some way to provide some stability through the quieter months. And then we came up with some reasons and avatars for who to target and some some things for our marketing to test and figure out who’s this product or service best for us to focus on and it never really designed the entire business around. If we focus on working professionals over families. It’s a totally different approach.
different type of uniform or clientele different look and feel of a like a logo, all that stuff would be custom fit for them as well. And then the next step we went through is go Through and create our perfectly management system here. So we found our places where we were going to find people Kijiji, which is a Canadian version of Craigslist, Groupon, road signs, flyers, these are the ways we’re going to get people to contact us calling into texting in getting an appointment, having a monthly text promo that we would do to people. So they’ve contacted us for information as once we’ve followed them, Hey, are you still interested? Hey, you know, this is our promo this month, or if they were a past customer, same thing. And then we had some couple of options for free offer, why they should pick us over going to wash up themselves or going with, you know, Joe Blow or hiring somebody else. Delivering Wow, we call this two signature checklists. So that was a checklist we thought we would come up with to make sure that we clean the cars the same way every time and that the customer would actually have to sign at the bottom to validate that they were happy with the service so that we we didn’t have to worry about refunds or referrals and we could fix it right then and there. And then there were certain subscription service would be our back end product. We constantly try to get people into where they would pay a flat monthly fee. And we would come on a certain day a week to complete their car. And then at the end, we would referrals, it would be on the bottom of the checklist. So this was our perfectly management system. It’s a simple business. But most businesses don’t have to be super complicated. Often it’s about having a set of operations to fulfill, to fix a problem, or to deliver a service or a product. And then after that, it’s about marketing to get people through the front door. And so the accountability checklist, this is where we take this lead management system that we went through. And now we break it down into individual tasks. Because if you want to make $100 an hour, don’t be doing $5 an hour $10 an hour work. So just from this, what are the tasks that we have to be doing? A lot of people want to come up with an org chart, but an org chart is really fat and bloated and it’s based on position titles, it doesn’t really get to the like, where the rubber meets the road. You write down like a secretary. Okay, but what is the secretary going to do? And often, myself and clients have hired people for roles and then really, we’re trying to scramble for what they’re supposed to do and you expect them to fill in the blanks but that’s paying for extra stuff else and you get a really fat company if that happens. So the first things we would need looking at this we need someone who can write ads. So Kijiji Groupon road signs flyers need somebody can write the ads, you can post the ads online, so you can get signs created and maintain a route or deal with any permits that we have to get. I’ve dealt with that personally. Sometimes you need a permit to put a road signs, create flyers someone that can not only create them, but have them printed out someone who can then manage the phone and answer the incoming phone calls, right. These are all the tasks of the business. So answering the phone calls, booking the appointments, returning the phone calls, answering the text messages, explaining how we do things. So when someone calls and we talked to them, this is how our service operates. You know, we set an appointment, we’ve gone you pay half up front half later or whatever you set that up, clicking payments, which I imagine in this business, we would want to be credit cards because if we already have their credit card on file, it makes it so much easier to set up the monthly service, Hey, would you like to sign the monthly program, we just get them to sign a piece of paper. And now they’ve signed up for our monthly program as opposed to having to get them to give us cash every month, or ask them for a different payment method later. Then we need to process the payments and deal with anything to do with that which includes bookkeeping and accounting, customer service handling complaints, refunds. What do we got here? All right, save sales, save sales. So save sales when someone’s not sure they’re happy, they want to cancel or quit. And you just talk to him about it and see what the real issue is because maybe you can save it for a more posit and come back later. Creating the monthly promotions to follow up with leads and customers. So that was here the monthly text promo and even some of these initial offers to try and get new people off the fence and to come in and try us out or come back. So fill appointment calendars, deliver and wow. The next category was that the two signature checklists So the first thing is we actually need to, we need to put the cleaning the cars at line together to make sure the quality control is done. And we need to put a, you know, a little bit of formatting a Word doc to someone’s got to get that done. Right. And then we wanted to have the offering the subscription service. So that’s something that we have to think about, where is that done? How is it done? Again, in the accountability, Doc, you’re first we’re just listing out all the different tasks that have to be done, we’re not worrying about who’s going to do them, just what are all the things that need to happen in your business. And this is just a simple word doc. So you’re following referrals given. supplying inventory sourcing is another thing to take care of health and safety training, because if you’re dealing with cleaning chemicals, as an employer, you do have to take care of Make sure your staff know not to drink bleach might sound silly, but all new sort of legal compliance. And then after that, taxes and payroll are a couple of things and if you pay benefits, you have to take care of those as well. So now that you’ve got all these things out and if there’s any more you can think of by all means this is the time and place to put them onto your dock. And now what you want to do is you want to organize them into some form of Mind Map. So let me show you that next.
