I share my personal experiences, opinions and perspectives about everything under the sun. I also talk about the interesting people I have met and those that I admire. Finally, I also share my insights and opinions about work, business and daily life.
About Daryl:
Daryl Urbanski is the Founder and President of BestBusinessCoach.ca and the host of The Best Business Podcast. This became almost 7.5 Million USD in just under 3 years.
Daryl has quickly climbed the entrepreneurial ladder, gaining respect from thousands of business owners worldwide. From author to a speaker, marketer to coach, Daryl’s multi-faceted business approach sets him apart as one of the leading business experts of his generation.
Reflections About Business and Life
My Personal Life
- My job is to help websites generate leads and sales.
- At the start, it’s about surviving, and then it becomes about making money.
- I started with a martial arts school.
- I enjoy learning and spend money on books, courses and seminars.
- By helping business owners, I believe I also indirectly help the customers of those businesses.
- My strong opinion of spending many hours and having a solid, intense work ethic is something not everyone agrees with.
Lessons About Coaching
- People want an easier path and think anyone can easily do it.
- You can get results from internet advertisements very fast and easily, but it’s not as tangible. People also judge depending on how attractive your website and promotions are, instead of substance and knowledge.
- It is easy to be ordained as a guru. Just because they’re a guru in one aspect, it doesn’t mean they are in every aspect.
- It takes years to master a craft, and not all teachers are created equal.
- In management roles, you should publicly praise people and privately criticize them.
Areas That Need Discipline
- You can never really master time management; you only manage it.
- Everyone has 24 hours at the beginning of the day. The only difference between you and the people who are where you want to be is they’ve used their time differently.
- “When you’re not training, someone else is to kick your ass.”
- A World Champion is already one even before the competition. That was just the date everyone found out.
- Focus is hard to maintain, especially with the number of distractions that can pull you away.
People to Admire
- I admire Confucius, Lao Tzu, and the notable Samurai warriors.
- I love philosophy and the greats, such as Aristotle and Alan Watts.
- When it comes to business, I respect Elon Musk for risking his fortune twice, revolutionizing different industries, following the end goal of serving others and disregarding social norms.
- What these greats did to achieve their status may not work for you.
Perspective on Politics
- Sometimes it doesn’t matter whoever wins the elections.
- Issues and cultures of states are deeply entrenched that there’s not much difference.
- It’s strange that the United States only has two political parties when they have a huge population.
- Government is deeply ingrained in society and has immense control over information
- There are many distractions and not a lot of motivation to fight for something.
- Politics is mostly entertainment and a puppet show.
Difficult Things I Came Back From
- Finding and refining myself and having an identity
- Helping a client make a million dollars but not getting full compensation for it
- It is important to have an everyday routine.
- As an entrepreneur, you also need to give time to things outside of work, such as family.
- Emotions are temporary and dynamic.
The Most Interesting People I’ve Met
- I met a 93-year old Buddhist monk in Japan whose siblings all died when she was young. An old man named Jim would read books and then give them away within 30 days of finishing them.
- I met child soldiers who had their families killed and have come down from Northern Uganda. I also hitchhiked with a mother who turned out to be a cop.
- As an adopted orphan, I feel that having no roots allowed me to travel the world with a lot of freedom.
- “Everything I’m not made me everything I am.” —Kanye West
Other Business Options
- I would have opened my own CrossFit gym because it is a good business model.
- The members of CrossFit are interested and loyal, and the community also has positive group dynamics.
- Not having the luxury of knowing my bloodline makes it even more important to take care of my health.
What I Would Advertise
- If I had a commercial slot, it would be something meaningful that could help many people.
- “You can have everything in life you want if you will just help other people get what they want.” —Zig Ziglar
- If I had a billboard, I would give away something for free.
Myths That People Believe
- Ignorance isn’t bliss. It is pain and suffering.
- There needs to be more emphasis on enjoying your day-to-day living.
- People try to climb the ladder of success too much.
- The meaning of life is just to live and live today like it’s your last.
My Message to My Younger Self
- I believe that I should just trust my instincts and passions, and enjoy the ride
- You won’t always be right, but you don’t know if being wrong is the right answer at the time.
- “This is the real secret of life—to be completely engaged with what you are doing in the here and now.” —Alan Watts
- Do unto others as you would do unto yourself.

- Do you already have a successful business, meaning you’re up, running, and paying your bills with some profit left over?

Mission Statement:
Would it help you to talk to other high-level entrepreneurs about their journeys, their mistakes and how they overcame their challenges to create the lives and financial success they desire?
Would it help you to have a mentor who can cut your learning curve by sharing their mistakes with you so you could avoid them?
Would it help you to talk to that mentor and learn how they shifted their mindset to allow success to happen in the first place?[/text_block][/op_liveeditor_element]

Too good to miss! I was listening to the episode with Daryl Urbanski & Jermaine Griggs in my office yesterday. Do yourself a favor and Press play! I’m excited because I plan on being one of the 200!
