  • Jack did not come from an entrepreneurial family. However, his parents were in business for over 30 years of importing and exporting umbrellas to Europe and America.
  • He was an employee in an accounting firm, but in 2011, he left because he wants to enjoy his freedom in doing business.

Biggest Challenge

  • For the first three months of Jack’s entrepreneurship career, he had zero income and no idea about the steps he should take.
  • After three months, he went to a seminar where the trainer introduced the money blueprint concept to him.
  • An opportunity came to Jack when he contacted a Singapore professional accounting body. He was handed his first training program.
  • From there, he was able to train around 3,000 to 5,000 professionals.

  • Jack highly recommends having a business goal.
  • Entrepreneurs exist because they are here to solve people’s problems.
  • For those who are starting, you need a plan and idea of what you want to do and why you want to do it.

Mistakes Made and What Holds Him Back

  • The three dangerous words an entrepreneur says: “I know that.”
  • “I know that” means we are not open to other people’s ideas.
  • It is essential to be open to suggestions and to ask for feedback from others who have more experience.
  • Learning is a continuous process.
  • Recently, he tries to understand how online marketing works.
  • Jack is not internet-savvy, and there are things he needs to relearn in the online world.

Working With Clients Towards Success

  • Jack enjoys working with clients who treat him as a mentor and a teacher.
  • On the other hand, he doesn’t enjoy working with clients who ask irrelevant questions and keeps asking to lower the price down.
  • In Jack’s experience, sales are about how you connect with people and how you persuade them.

  • Sales are not about number stats. It’s about striking a conversation with clients using the language they prefer.
  • They have to adjust to people’s behaviours because not everyone has the same behaviour.
  • When speaking in front of people, you may need to have one presentation that speaks all four languages: blueprint, action, nurturing, and knowledge.

  • There are still groups of people who are stubborn by looking only at techniques and strategies, and success is uncertain.
